The curriculum for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Logistics was developed with substantial input from industry professionals. It emphasizes teamwork and leadership skills, preparing students for various roles in logistics, including positions such as Freight Broker and Logistics Analyst. The program also prepares students for higher-level roles like Director of Logistics and Transportation.

Key courses in the program include Global Alliances and E-Logistics, with a strong emphasis on hands-on logistics decision-making and data warehousing for decision systems. The curriculum also focuses on modeling for business intelligence in logistics, ensuring that students are well-versed in the latest industry trends and practices.

Comprehensive Coursework and Elective Options

The degree requires a total of 42 credits, with 9 credits from required courses and an additional 15 credits from elective courses. Core courses include Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Global Procurement & Sourcing Strategies, Business Logistics and Transportation, Demand Planning and Fulfillment, Supply Chain Finance, and Supply Chain Analytics Essentials. Students must complete at least four 799 electives, ensuring a well-rounded education.

An international elective requirement is included, allowing students to gain a global perspective on supply chain issues. Courses on distribution management and forecasting further address the challenges of managing a global supply chain.

The program, led by Frank Adams, an associate professor, has quickly gained traction since its inception. In December, the first degrees were awarded to six students, followed by another 22 degrees conferred in the spring and summer sessions. Currently, 78 students are pursuing the degree, indicating a growing interest in this field.

To accommodate the increasing demand, the program has added new faculty members, enhancing the quality of education and ensuring students receive the necessary guidance and expertise.
