6th GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards Winners Announced
The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) has announced the winners of the 6th Supply Chain Excellence Awards. The event highlighted outstanding achievements in supply chain innovation, logistics services, sustainability, and women's contributions to the field.
GPCA: A Pillar of the Arabian Gulf's Manufacturing Sector
Founded in 2006, the GPCA represents the downstream hydrocarbon industry in the Arabian Gulf, uniting over 250 member companies from chemical and allied industries. Collectively, these companies account for over 95% of the chemical output in the region, contributing significantly to the economy by producing more than USD 108 billion worth of products annually. The chemical industry stands as the second largest manufacturing sector in the Arabian Gulf, underscoring its critical role in the regional economy.
The GPCA has been a vocal advocate for the industry's common interests, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and innovation. The association's commitment to these values was on full display at the recent awards ceremony.

Similarly, the recognition of PSA BDP as the top logistics service provider underscores the critical role of logistics in maintaining seamless supply chains.
QAFCO's win in the sustainability category reflects the growing emphasis on environmentally responsible practices within the industry. Their Environmental Management System serves as a model for others aiming to reduce environmental impact while maintaining operational efficiency. TruKKer's backhaul optimization project, which earned them the runner-up position, highlights innovative approaches to reducing carbon footprints and enhancing supply chain sustainability.
"The recognition of these achievements not only sets a standard for the industry but also inspires other companies to pursue excellence in their supply chain operations," said a GPCA spokesperson.
Empowering Women in Supply Chain
The Women in Supply Chain Award shines a spotlight on the contributions of women to the industry.
